Carissa Klopoushak, violin
Join us as we open our 103rd season with Canadian violinist Carissa Klopoushak. Winner of the 32nd annual Eckhardt-Gramatte National Music Competition for the Performance of Canadian Music, Carissa has earned accolades for her sensitive and powerful musicianship and her charismatic and engaging stage presence.

Meara Conway, soprano (The Regina Musical Club 2010 Recital Competition Winner) with Karen Klassen, piano
This year's Regina Musical Club 2010 Recital Winner is Regina-born soprano, Meara Conway. Recipient of the Maureen Forrester Award, Meara completed her Masters in Opera Performance at McGill University in 2009. Winner of the Canadian National Music Festival Competition and a Schulich Academic Scholar, she studies law while performing intensively across Canada. We are excited to be able to welcome Meara home for this recital.

Martha Guth, soprano and Tyler Duncan, baritone with Erika Switzer, piano
Enjoy a beautiful evening of song with this trio of musicians. Soprano Martha Guth has a "thrilling top range, rare breath control and an awesome legato" (Globe and Mail). Baritone Tyler Duncan has "that rare mixture of elegant phrasing and resonant power" (Toronto Star). Pianist Erika Switzer is widely known for her brilliant, expressive, and technically confident playing. Her reputation is growing as the collaborative pianist of choice. Presented by Prairie Debut.

Alessio Bax & Lucille Chung – One Piano Four Hands
NOTE: Change of venue- Westminster United Church
Bax and Chung prove that "Good things come in pairs." With this duo, the concert becomes a unique experience: a perfect combination and balance of unity of thought and individual personalities, filled with their passion for music and zest for life. "Theirs is a marriage of wondrous colours and dextrous aplomb, subtly balanced to make the musical performance sound as one." (Music and Arts) Presented by Prairie Debut.

Christine Vanderkooy, piano
Our 2010-2011 season finishes with our very own Christine Vanderkooy, pianist. Professor of music at the University of Regina, Christine performs regularly as soloist and chamber musican, travelling extensively to give recitals and adjudicate festivals. We are thrilled to have her close our season.
